Editorial Policy

ComplyHQ publishes practical compliance guidance for Singapore SMEs. This page explains how that content is produced, so you can judge how much to trust it.

How our articles are written

  • Research first. Every article starts from primary sources: the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, PDPC advisory guidelines, PDPC enforcement decisions, and official government resources (ACRA, MOM, IRAS, CSA). We cite these in a Sources section at the end of each article.
  • AI-assisted drafting, human accountability. We use AI tools to draft and structure articles. Every published article is the responsibility of a named human — currently Mervin Tan, founder of ComplyHQ — who sets the brief, reviews output against the cited sources, and owns corrections.
  • Fact-checking. Figures that matter — penalty amounts, notification deadlines, filing dates, fee schedules — are verified against the primary source before publication, and re-verified in periodic audits.

Corrections and updates

Regulations change. When they do, we update affected articles and show a last-updated date. If you spot an error, email support@complyhq.app — we correct verified errors promptly and note material corrections in the article.

Independence and commercial interest

ComplyHQ's blog exists to bring readers to our product — we're upfront about that. Articles mention ComplyHQ features where genuinely relevant, but the guidance itself is written to be useful whether or not you ever sign up. Comparison articles that mention competitors describe them factually.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. Our guidance explains the rules in plain English and shows you how to operationalise them; it does not replace advice from a qualified lawyer on your specific situation.
